From 2008 to 2015, each student in our Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Program was assigned a high school physics teacher as a mentor. Our teachers had diverse experiences and were each excellent practitioners. They provided feedback to UTAs on classroom performance, and advice on teaching and teaching careers. We also had two Physics Teachers in Residence: Marty Alderman (from 2008-2010) and Jim Overhiser (from 2010-2015).
