The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is a graduate curriculum of professional education designed to meet the New York State standards for teacher certification. Cornell has an agreement with Ithaca College that allows students at Cornell University completing a bachelor’s degree to attend Ithaca College to pursue an MAT including in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science education. This program provides preparation required to obtain professional certification in New York State.
